Norcia Museum & Art Gallery & Gift Shop (Open 9am-4.30pm
Daily)
New Norcia is home to one of the finest collections of moveable
heritage in Australia. Gifts from the Queen of Spain and a
fascinating array of artifacts tell the story of New Norcia’s
160 year old history. The Galleries feature religious
paintings by Spanish and Italian Masters and Australian
Contemporary Artists. The Gift Shops offers a range of
local produce (including New Norcia Abbey Wines, Bread, Nutcake,
Pan Choc & Olive Oil), art, books and music. |
‘In almost thirty years of constant traveling around the world, I have
seldom found a place so clarifying and calm
as New Norcia. It makes you think again about what matters;
it returns you to a sense of stillness and community that’s hard to find
in the modern world;
it refreshes the soul better than any holiday. The only hardship of
coming here, is leaving.’
